In October Thomas Brewster is going to be competing in the Men’s Health Survival of the fittest for Try Assist. Thomas says “The challenge to me is more than just completing the UK’s toughest assault course, but also signifies the end of a long recovery from a serious rugby injury. In 2006 I sustained an injury which at the time had a high probability of never being able to walk again.”
“It’s been a long three year recovery and despite not being able to play gain, it has opened the door to a whole host of other ways to get involved in our game. In 2009, I toured with the GB Pioneers to Norway whilst I was the assistant coach at Durham URL and currently I am the assistant coach at Cambridge UARLFC.”
In 2010 Thomas was awarded the RFL’s Student Volunteer of the year.
Thomas would like to take this opportunity to say a big thankyou to his local gym Westside in Stamford for allowing him to have his promotional photographs taken there.”
