The following clubs Warrington, Leeds, Salford, Sheffield Eagles, Hull FC, Hull KR, Catalan Dragons, Bradford, Featherstone, Wakefield have all donated their signed shirts and rugby balls in support of James Brook.
In a gesture showing the genuine warmth and care by all the clubs to the wider family of rugby league, the 2012 Stobart Super League clubs have the led the donations of signed shirts and rugby balls. These are to be auctioned on Ebay to raise monies for James Brook’s family to join him whilst he is undergoing three months of extensive Proton Therapy treatment in the USA. James plays for Oulton Raiders and is a member of Leeds Rhinos scholarship squad. Sixteen year old James was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumour just before Christmas 2011. He and his father travelled to Jacksonville on Saturday February 11th in a fourteen hour long journey.
The NHS is paying for James and the RFL Benevolent Fund have agreed to co-ordinate the fund raising in order that both of his parents can be with him.
